“Amid moralizing from foreigners regarding corruption issues, it is increasingly challenging to hear questions from Ukraine’s war-torn leader,” wrote Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Facebook, referencing an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“I am unsure if the cargo planes mentioned in the interview are the same ones Zelenskyy sought to send to Georgia during the early days of the war, intending to deliver Georgian fighters. His loyal NGOs and the opposition loudly protested our rejection of this proposal outside the parliament. However, it is a fact that he was neither afforded the opportunity nor reprimanded for his intended use of those planes,” Papuashvili stated.
