The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, held a meeting with U.S. Congressman Abraham Hamadeh.
According to Tamar Taliashvili’s Facebook post, Congressman Abraham Hamadeh represents the state of Arizona. Congressman Hamadeh serves on the House Armed Services and Veterans’ Affairs Committees. Before being elected to Congress, he served as a Maricopa county prosecutor and served in uniform as a U.S. Army Reserve Captain, as well as a counter-terrorism intelligence officer.
“Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed US-Georgian relations, as well as the recent improvement in said bilateral dynamics. The discussion also touched upon relevant regional and international developments.
Simultaneously, the importance of upholding sovereignty and protecting peace was underscored. Georgia’s unique geographic position, potential and historic role in terms of the development of the Middle Corridor was emphasized. The prospects of further development of bilateral relations based on common interests were noted, as well as the importance of the start of a new chapter in US-Georgian relations,” reads the information.
