“The World Government Summit in Dubai is an essential annual event that allows us to meet with representatives from many governments as well as business leaders,” stated Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili.
As Davitashvili noted, this is a platform where very interesting information exchange takes place.
“We had the opportunity to meet with multiple government delegations and important business groups interested in Georgia, including informal meetings with EBRD and MASDAR, which is interested in renewable energy projects in Georgia. This is one of the UAE’s major state energy companies, and we believe that such information updates are always beneficial for the successful implementation of current and prospective projects,” Davitashvili stated.
According to him, the Prime Minister’s speech at the World Government Summit was particularly significant, where he presented Georgia’s current economic trends in a very engaging way to what is probably the most important audience.
“This is an audience that makes decisions regarding various investment directions. Representatives and leaders from different business sectors heard the most objective information about Georgia’s progress in terms of our economy and about Georgia’s attractiveness from investment and economic perspectives. I think all of this will be beneficial for achieving better positioning in the international arena this year, including from an economic standpoint, and will contribute to trade-economic relations and investments,” Davitashvili stated.
