The country has a worthy Prime Minister in the form of Irakli Kobakhidze, Grigol Liluashvili has a very responsible and important position, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze told the media, answering the question whether it is planned to nominate Grigol Liluashvili, the head of the State Security Service, as a candidate for Prime Minister.
In particular, a journalist asked Kakha Kaladze whether Grigol Liluashvili, the head of the State Security Service, who attended the presentation of the project of a new hotel and recreation complex in Sioni today, is entering the political scene.
“The country has a worthy [prime minister] candidate, in the form of Irakli Kobakhidze, who at the same time is the head of the [Georgian Dream] election headquarters. Grigol Liluashvili has a very responsible and important position. Together with the Minister of Internal Affairs, he is responsible for peace and tranquility in the country, therefore, the team, as a representative, will continue like this in the future”, said Kaladze.
In addition, Kaladze called the question related to the information that it is planned to replace Irakli Kobakhidze as the Prime Minister as speculation.
“It’s a lie, it’s not correct information, it’s just speculation. It is an election campaign and you are trying to introduce this kind of speculation in any case. As you said, the country has a worthy Prime Minister in the form of Irakli Kobakhidze and Grigol Liluashvili, who has a very responsible and important position”, Kaladze told journalists.
At the same time, Kaladze was asked that there is no plan to nominate him as a candidate for the prime ministership, to which he replied: “I am the mayor of the city, the elected mayor of the city.”
