“Today we celebrate the adoption of the first Constitution of Georgia, an important date in the nation’s history, which laid the foundation for the development of Georgia as a democratic and legal state,” – Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili wrote on his official Facebook page.
“On February 21, 1921, the First Republic of Georgia adopted the country’s Constitution. This was the founding act of our state, which created the basis for the struggle for independence and sovereignty,” Kavelashvili stated.
In his message, the President congratulated the nation and expressed his wish for “peace, unity, and progress” for Georgia.
