Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday said, \u201cInjustice that often stems from EU lawmakers and officials, rejection of Christian dogmas, LGBT propaganda, non-transparency and disrespect of other people\u2019s sovereignty are unsuitable for Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n
In his speech at a closing pre-election rally in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, the PM pledged that \u201cby 2030, Georgia will become an EU member only with dignity, respect for Christianity, the Church and morality, independence and sovereignty.\u201d\u201cTowards Europe only with dignity \u2013 this is the policy that Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili founded, which I would want to express gratitude for.<\/p>\n
We will also travel only in peace to Europe. Without peace, there is neither development nor European integration.<\/p>\n
We have faced the most intense pressure and blackmail during the last four years, and despite the greatest risks, we have kept the country peaceful.<\/p>\n
Our government is the first one in power since the country\u2019s restoration of independence without waging war.<\/p>\n
We have had 12 years of unbroken peace in Georgia, and the Georgian Dream\u00a0remains the sole assurance that the country will continue to grow peacefully and steadily in all directions.<\/p>\n
We will also go to Europe only with prosperity.<\/p>\n
Our opponents frequently try to convince the public that Georgia can only become a high-income country if it joins the European Union. In reality, the contrary is true: Georgia can only join the European Union if it becomes a high-income country,\u201d Kobakhidze asserted.<\/p>\n
