The primary purpose of the highway is to reduce transit traffic in the city and enhance the living and recreational conditions in Batumi.<\/p>\n
This bypass is part of the West-East European route (E70), which begins in Spain, traverses eight countries, and ends in Poti. This international corridor plays a crucial role in trade relations, tourism, and cultural connections.<\/p>\n
The construction of the Batumi Bypass Highway was made possible through loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), with additional funding from the state budget.
