The Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has congratulated Muslim citizens of Georgia on the occasions of Ramadan Bayram and Novruz Bayram.
The President also expressed gratitude for the solidarity shown by the Muslim community toward Georgian Orthodox Christians mourning the death of Ilia II.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our Muslim fellow citizens on Ramadan Bayram and Novruz Bayram.
I sincerely thank you for the strong solidarity you have shown to Georgian Orthodox Christians mourning the passing of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II.
Your decision to share our grief during these difficult days and to refrain from holding festive events in celebration of these holidays is a clear demonstration of the brotherhood, friendship, and mutual respect that define relations between our fellow citizens—Christians and Muslims alike.
Once again, I congratulate you and wish you peace, happiness, and prosperity. Thank you for the example of solidarity you have shown in recent days,” Mikheil Kavelashvili stated.
