“The responsibility of politicians is extremely high; they are well aware of the implications of their actions. However, fulfilling a benefactor’s assignment often becomes an unavoidable task for them—such is the nature of an agent’s role,” stated Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, during today’s government meeting.
Kobakhidze expressed his concern that these politicians are sacrificing individuals, including young people, to harsh penalties.
“What is most regrettable is that they are sacrificing individuals, including youth, to excessively severe penalties. This morning, you may have read about a young man who was detained for a grave alleged crime and now faces up to seven years in prison for seriously injuring a police officer. The responsibility for this lies with these reckless adventurers.
Four political parties—those led by Saakashvili, Gvaramia, Khazaradze, and Gakharia—explicitly declared yesterday their support for this coordinated violence.
They cannot evade accountability for their actions, and everyone should consider this. I want to reiterate that while they may feel compelled to follow their patron’s directives, it is crucial to recognize the severe responsibilities associated with an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order,” the Prime Minister declared.
