Ministry of Agriculture: Production, export of apples significantly increase over past decade in Georgia

The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has published a document on its official website containing the names of all individuals who lost their lives as a result of recent events across the country. According to the released data, the total number of victims stands at 2,986. A statement issued by the President’s Administration emphasizes that, in the assessment of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, those who lost their lives in these tragic events are not merely statistical figures; each victim represents an immense loss to society. “Every Iranian is equal to the whole of Iran for us. Based on the moral responsibility and commitment he made to the people, the President considers himself the defender of their rights. All victims of these events and recent unrest were children of this country. No family of any victim should be left without consolation or attention,” wrote Seyed Ali Mojani, the Ambassador of Iran to Georgia, on social media.

“Any funding related to politics, whether directly or indirectly, should be transparent to the public,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.The Prime Minister accused NGOs of deliberately avoiding transparency, describing it as clear evidence that they are concealing something in their funding.“First and foremost, the public deserves to know why these organisations are hiding their funding from the Georgian people. Remember, their main argument was about stigma; they claimed they did not want to be registered as agents of foreign influence. Yet, at that time, they openly registered as a foreign power. This clearly demonstrates how false their claims about stigma were, as well as their objections to the transparency law overall. Any funding, whether directly or indirectly related to politics, should be transparent to the public. These organisations are avoiding this, which is undeniable proof that they have something in their funding that they are trying to conceal,” the Prime Minister stated.

A protest is going on at the administrative building of the Georgian Technical University (GTU).Representatives from academic and scientific circles and students demand that the decision over the unification of the GTU and Tbilisi State University (TSU) be cancelled.The protest participants say they are ready to meet with the Education Minister, members of the parliamentary Education Committee and provide arguments why the unification of the two universities is unjustified.
