The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has published a document on its official website containing the names of all individuals who lost their lives as a result of recent events across the country. According to the released data, the total number of victims stands at 2,986.
A statement issued by the President’s Administration emphasizes that, in the assessment of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, those who lost their lives in these tragic events are not merely statistical figures; each victim represents an immense loss to society.
“Every Iranian is equal to the whole of Iran for us. Based on the moral responsibility and commitment he made to the people, the President considers himself the defender of their rights. All victims of these events and recent unrest were children of this country. No family of any victim should be left without consolation or attention,” wrote Seyed Ali Mojani, the Ambassador of Iran to Georgia, on social media.
