Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will attend the meeting of the European Political Community on 7 November, in Budapest, Hungary.
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili stated, “This is a very important format, which was created at the initiative of President Macron, and is an interesting mechanism for countries politically associated with the EU to come even closer.”
“The Prime Minister will engage in a variety of conversations and will be the first to address the issue of economic security. Since Georgia’s economic development is one of the main priorities for our country, the Prime Minister will deliver a speech at this discussion, which will be chaired by the German Chancellor.
The Prime Minister will also participate in the concluding plenary session with the leaders of the EU member states and candidate countries in attendance.
We think that participation in a platform of this type is paramount since one of the main lines of our country’s foreign policy priorities is European integration, and in addition to bilateral Georgia-EU cooperation, we are using all opportunities to ensure that Georgia successfully continues its European integration,” Darchiashvili added.
