“We are in the election process, and I believe that our partner and friendly countries bear the greatest responsibility to ensure that the electoral process is as objective as possible,” stated Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
He added that we should allow the population to make their choice without pressure.
“The rhetoric we’ve been hearing recently is not new to us. There’s nothing unexpected or novel in this process for us. Unfortunately, in many cases, the processes are being assessed subjectively. This is certainly not good. We are in the election process, and in this case, I think that all our partners and friendly countries have the greatest responsibility to make our electoral process as transparent and objective as possible.
I think further assessment at this stage is unnecessary. We have about a week left until the elections. We should allow our population to cast their ballots objectively, without pressure, and make the right choice,” Davitashvili noted.
