Protesters are throwing unidentified objects at police officers, resulting in one officer being injured, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
The Ministry urged protesters to refrain from illegal actions and comply with law enforcement instructions.
“Despite repeated warnings from law enforcement not to exceed the legal limits on freedom of assembly and expression, some protesters are engaging in confrontations with officers, verbal abuse, damaging equipment such as flashlights, and setting fire to electrical wiring. We call on all participants to avoid illegal activities and follow the instructions of law enforcement.
Failure to comply will compel the Ministry to act within its legal mandate and enforce measures prescribed by Georgian legislation,” the statement concluded.
