Anri Okhanashvili, the candidate for Minister of Justice, asserted during a joint session of four parliamentary committees that the Ministry will actively pursue the alignment of Georgian legislation with EU law.
He highlighted the Ministry’s plans to establish a centralized electronic database to monitor the progress of legal approximation.
“This is a vital initiative, as our declared political goal is integration into the European Union. The state must adequately prepare for EU membership, and our legislative framework must be fully harmonized with EU standards. Therefore, we will persist in our efforts in this direction,” Okhanashvili emphasized.
