The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia will charge the accused for the attempted murder of his wife under aggravating circumstances in Sagarejo due to the death of the victim.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that on November 11, in Sagarejo, the defendant inflicted life-threatening injuries on his wife in the presence of his minor child, on the grounds of gender intolerance. The injured person was taken to the hospital.
“Law enforcement officers arrested the accused on November 12. He has been charged under Article 11 Prima, Article 381 Prima, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (violation of the obligation stipulated by the protective order) and Articles 19, 109, “h”, “k”, “m”, “p” subsections of the same code. (attempted murder, committed on the basis of gender, against a family member, with special cruelty, more than once), which is punishable by 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
Based on the petition of the prosecutor’s office, the accused has already been sentenced to prison as a preventive measure.
