According to the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, Croatia is not the only nation within the European Union that holds a positive stance towards Georgia.
Milanović asserts that many European countries lack a clear position or stance on Georgia.
“I cannot accept the notion that Croatia is supportive while all other European countries are opposed. Many European actors lack a stance altogether; they have no attitude and are entirely at ease within their comfort zones. They adopt an opportunistic approach. They see no need for decisive action; there are resources available to help them understand, not to incite hostility, merely to show other European nations that the European Union does not speak with a unified voice. Many member states do not hold firm positions within the European Union,” the Croatian President stated.
