GD’s founder Bidzina Ivanishvili meets UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Georgian Dream founder and Honorary Chairman Bidzina Ivanishvili met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The meeting was also attended by Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.

The Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Dream thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his visit and emphasised the importance of the friendly relations between the two countries.“I am delighted that you are in Georgia and honoured to host you in our country. Over recent years, the relationship between our nations has grown even stronger, for which I am grateful. It is encouraging to see the economic ties between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates continue to strengthen, benefiting both countries in the future.

The investments you are making in Georgia will bring our two nations even closer together. I thank you for your warm and friendly attitude towards our country. I sincerely hope that we will meet many more times and that our partnership will deepen further in the years to come,” stated Bidzina Ivanishvili during the meeting.

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, thanked the Georgian Dream’s Honorary Chairman for the hospitality and noted that the close economic ties between the countries will reach even higher levels in the near future.“I am delighted to be in your beautiful country and to have the honour of meeting you in person. As you are aware, we are making a USD 6 billion investment in Georgia, which will commence in the coming days. I also wish to convey our readiness to fund the education of Georgian students in the United Arab Emirates and to assist your young people in deepening their knowledge of artificial intelligence.

The friendly relations between our countries are of great importance and mutually beneficial; therefore, I am prepared to invest even further in Georgia, which holds particular personal significance for me as the country’s president. Once again, I would like to thank you for your warm hospitality,” declared Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The House of Justice is an outstanding project in this regard,” the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at the opening ceremony of the Gldani House of Justice. According to the Prime Minister, residents of Gldani will now have access to more than 500 services directly within their district. He emphasized that the new facility is part of a nationwide network that serves over 20,000 people daily at 125 locations across Georgia. “I would like to congratulate everyone, especially the residents of Gldani. From now on, they will receive more than 500 services in a comfortable environment. This is very important for the district’s residents,” Kobakhidze noted. The Prime Minister also stressed the project’s employment benefits, announcing that about 100 people will be hired at the Gldani branch. He underlined that the facility, like others in the network, is fully adapted for people with disabilities. Kobakhidze added that the government intends to further expand the network, ensuring that every municipality in Georgia is covered. In Tbilisi, construction of another House of Justice in Digomi will begin soon.
